# Supplier Contact Specialist

As Customer Contact Specialist you will be the person in charge of ensuring part availability for production without interrupts.

**Your Role & Responsibilities**
* Consider all formal requirements like Contracts, Shipping instructions, Transport insurance.
* Verify and resolve supplier or forwarder complaints.
* Ensure connection to suppliers via EDI, WEB-EDI, ASN or manual system.
* Manage orders to suppliers.
* Coordinate deliveries from suppliers (plan and optimize external transport).
* Clarification of non conformance of deliveries.
* Manage supplier backlog until backlog is eliminated.
* Escalate supplier backlog; visit suppliers location.
* Manage extra transport from supplier locations in compliance with relevant contracts.
* Plan and manage returnable packaging with suppliers.
* Perform logistics supplier evaluation, track critical supplier (e.g. capacity).
* Charge supplier all cost for extra transport caused by supplier.
* Negotiate all topics with the target to keep cost as low as possible.
* Train Logistics team members in areas required.
* Develop high levels of cross-training, look for gaps in team skills.

**Your Skills & Strengths**
* Knowledge/studies related to Logistics preferred.
* At least 1 year of experience performing similar tasks.
*English is a**must** .
* Knowledge of SAP will be an asset.
* Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Programmes, above all Excel.
* Automotive Background is an advantage.
* Team player, proactivity and people skills are a must.
