**THE POSITION**

As of now we are looking for a Principal System Analyst for our IT MES team at Boehringer Ingelheim. In this role, you will support the local and European business community on the subject of Manufacturing Execution Systems.
**Tasks & responsibilities**
* In cooperation with other IT units and the business community, you will provide MES solutions at our European production sites with focus on Vienna
* Together with our global MES team, you will work on the transformation of the existing MES landscape towards a cloud-native architecture based on OpenShift / Kubernetes and PostgreSQL
* Based on our existing MES templates, you will contribute to the automation, integration, standardization, optimization, and operation of MES solutions, which have to be implemented
* You will support the system lifecycle (design, planning and implementation) of specific MES applications

**Requirements**
* Several years of relevant experience in the field of IT systems
* Diploma/Master's degree in computer science, business informatics, engineering or in a comparable scientific study program is of advantage
* Profound knowledge of IT infrastructure technologies (Windows/Linux operating systems, Citrix) and database systems (Oracle / PostgreSQL)
* Knowledge or first experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (especially Körber PAS-X 3.2 or 3.3) as well as Docker or RedHat OpenShift / Kubernetes is of advantage
* Excellent intercultural and communication skills in English (German is a strong advantage, but no prerequisite) in combination with a solution-oriented approach

The remuneration for this position starts at EUR 50,000.00 gross annual salary (full time) [as well as a variable bonus]. When defining the actual salary we are taking your technical skills as well as personal competencies and relevant professional experience into consideration.
