# Lead Engineer Functional Safety f/m/d

In the area of Electrics and Electronics, we are looking for personalities who have a challenge in the area of electrification to join us in advancing the E/E specialist team System Safety. We are one of the fastest growing areas at AVL and are part of all safety critical products. We strive to provide our customers with the best solutions, especially in the new areas of electromobility, hydrogen-powered mobility as well as decentralized energy supply and industrial applications for e.g. hydrogen or synthetic fuel production

**YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:**

* Technical leadership of a safety team consisting of Safety Managers and Development Engineers who plan functional safety in projects and lead the safety concepts from requirements, implementation and testing to SOP
* Solution development including planning and implementation in the area of system safety in R&D as well as in customer projects in the new areas of electromobility, hydrogen-powered mobility as well as decentralized energy supply and industrial applications for e.g. hydrogen or synthetic fuel production
* Knowledge transfer of technical and methodological expertise within the lead group.
* Strategic build-up of the team and development of the business.
* Elaboration and coordination of offers with the customer
* Global and cross-departmental collaboration with the entire AVL group (Powertrain, Thermal, E/E, Chassis, ADAS/AD, Cost Engineering).

**YOUR PROFILE:**

* Completed studies in the field of electrical engineering, electronics, computer science, telematics or a similar field (e.g.: physics, mechatronics).
* Extensive knowledge in the field of Functional Safety (ISO 26262) of the automotive industry as well as in the field of electrical/electronic (E/E) systems in vehicles (>5 years)
* Enjoys complex discussions and finding solutions, both in a team and independently in the area of electrical systems
* Excellent skills in English and MS Office

Annual Remuneration: Due to the Austrian Equal Treatment Act we are obligated to state the annual gross remuneration (full-time) for this position as a basis for negotiation: €65,000.00. We will, in any case, offer market-conforming payment taking qualifications and professional experience into account.
