### Open PhD Position / Universitätsassistent/Universitätsassistentin ohne Doktorat at Graz University of Technology (Created: 2019-05-22)

A PhD position for four years (Universitätsassistent/Universitätsassistentin ohne Doktorat) starting around October 1st, 2019, is open at the Institute of Theoretical and Computational Physics of Graz University of Technology.

Terms of Admission:
At the beginning of their employment candidates must have obtained a degree equivalent with a University master degree in Physics.

Required Qualification:
Experience in theoretical physics and in particular in the field of strongly correlated quantum manybody systems, preferably out of equilibrium, and in programming (C++, Fortran, Matlab, Mathematica), as well as excellent academic grades. The main focus will be in the field of ab-initio treatment of nonequilibrium properties of strongly correlated materials. Optimisation procedures based on machine learning will also be involved. It is strongly requested that a doctoral degree shall be pursued during the employment. The candidate will participate in the teaching duties of the Institute for Theoretical Computational Physics.
