For our Technology division in Amsterdam we are looking for a Trainer who can support and drive our rapidly changing and fast paced Supply Chain Operations facilitating an Industry 4.0 manufacturing and fulfilment plant. Someone with a hands-on approach and tactical mindset, participating in a local/global team mastering the operational supply chain elements while optimizing efficiency and automating to scale. We're looking for a supply chain professional who brings an engineering and business economics background, a strong drive and data savviness that helps driving the operations to the next level.

About the Role

Tasks and responsibilities
In this position, you will
* Be the single point of contact on topics such as training & assessment strategy, training coverage, assessment status, etc.;
* Remain accountable for defining the training & assessment plan considering customer expectations, inputs from team leads and related SLA's;
* Responsible for overseeing the progress made on training across multiple departments;
* Conduct assessments on key roles, devise re-training plans based on outcomes.
* Conduct induction training sessions and be responsible for the end to end onboarding process flow;
* Play an active role in identifying, recruiting, coaching and assessing the subject matter experts (SMEs) within the operational teams;
* Need to have a complete understanding of the entire operational process flow to guide SMEs, review and approve Standard Work Instructions (SWI's);
* Work alongside the operations, engineering, inventory and trade compliance teams to create SWI's for new processes;
* Proactively participate in the PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effect Analysis) studies when new processes are introduced;
* Own the training metrics and present results to both internal and external stakeholders;
* Identify and implement continuous improvement actions (6-Sigma/Kaizen initiatives) within the scope of on-boarding, training, assessment, and as needed in operations too;
* Be the subject matter expert in topics such as Handling/packaging/storage of Dangerous Goods, EHS procedures, 5S, etc.;
* Responsible for adhering towards ISO 9001, ISO 14001 standards from a training department's perspective.

Qualifications and skills
* Experience in a similar role (5-8 years), leading training teams and mentoring SMEs, ideally within a logistics/warehouse environment;
* The ideal candidate would have an HBO - University level education;
* Capable of deriving a training and assessment strategy;
* Familiarity with LMS and/or exposure towards ISO certification process;
* Good communication skills (English fluent spoken and written essential);
* Be a quick learner with excellent logical and analytical skills; problem solving, working methodically and with time-lines is built-in with your personality.
* Proficient in understanding the details of a specific process, considering how the process would fit in from a bigger, operational perspective.
* Excellent Excel & Word skills (experience with G-sheet preferred)
* Flexible (working in shifts as needed)
* Stress resistant and experience working in an international work environment.

The trainer position is graded CLA salary scale & long-term position.
