As a Product Owner (m/f/d), you are a member of the platform team for metros. You act as the primary contact between the sales departments and the development team for the product solution in your scope. As such, you represent the "Voice of the Customer" towards the development team, and you are responsible for the definition and development of product solutions which form part of the metro platform.

Tasks
* Work closely with the sales departments to elicit continuously the customers' needs and translate their description into requirements.
* Work closely with strategy and market intelligence to constantly observe relevant competitors' products and solutions, as well as future trends and innovations.
* Contribute to preparation and assessment of business cases for specific product solutions.
* Define the product vision, and determine what variants/requirements are supported by the product concept, what is standardised and what is subject to project-specific customisation.
* Create and maintain the product backlog, add new features as backlog items, evaluate their respective customer value and prioritise them.
* Work closely with the development team to clearly communicate the customer needs and related requirements, and provide guidance and direction to the team.
* Identify, set up and manage development partnerships with suppliers and partners.
* Manage and synchronizes the cross functional team (consisting of development team, as well as internal and external suppliers) to realize the development of the product and associated technical solutions.
* Monitor product development costs and product costs.
* Continuously exchange good practices within the organisation.

Skills
* Bachelor or master's degree in a technical discipline
* 2+ years of professional experience in product development (or similar)
* Experience in the railway industry (optional) or similar industry (e.g. automotive, mechatronics)
* Experience in Agile methodologies (optional)
* Self-motivated, driven, reliable and able to work independently as well as in a team
* Passionate about working on complex problems and with innovative state-of-the-art technologies
* Strategic mindset with a strong focus on standardization
* Excellent communication skills (English and German)
* Ability to prioritize effectively

The gross annual payment for this job vacancy is at least EUR 49.500,00 (full-time). Siemens as an international company offers additional social benefits.
