Sr. IT Support Engineer (Tier 2)

Location : Phoenix, United States

Mission

The Sr IT Support Technician provides hands on expertise, support, and problem resolution to Phoenix-based Nagra-Kudelski team members.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities
* Manage deployment, support, administration, and replacement of Nagra's desktop computing environment consisting primarily of Microsoft Windows operating systems.
* Provision and deploy laptops, desktops, and mobile devices to end users.
* Administer user network security accounts, objects and services via Active Directory and Exchange.
* Collaborate with staff, computer users, supervisors, and managers to evaluate requirements for new or modified software and hardware.
* Identify opportunities and develop productivity support tools and strategies to align with Nagra's business requirements. Support tools encompass desktop operating systems; PC, laptop, and server applications; telecommunication support; email, calendaring, and handheld platforms; office automation tools; Intranet and video teleconferencing solutions support; remote access user support.
* Work regularly in the company-wide help desk system and processes for management and tracking and selects appropriate database and workflow tools.
* Create and implement physical asset tracking procedures using helpdesk software and bar coding on hardware.
+ Review help desk activity and make recommendations for increased organization efficiency and effectiveness.
* Assist in creating long-term strategies for growth and maintenance of the Nagra IS&T helpdesk group.
* Document existing productivity systems architecture and write future recommendations for management review.
* Develop, maintain, and test associated disaster recovery plans and Business Continuity Planning (BCP).

Requirements / Profile

Your Key Qualities and Skills
* Four+ years' experience in Information Technology support working with helpdesk related support applications and databases, reporting tools, methodology, disaster recovery, change control processes, and procedures.
* Strong technical hands-on experience with Windows operating systems and MacBook.
* Strong knowledge of Helpdesk operations, IT best practices, industry trends, and customer service.
* Executive/VIP support experience, including audio/visual experience for boardroom support.
* Effective listening and communication skills (clear and concise written and verbal capabilities) at all levels within the organization.
* Ability to thrive and stay professional in a fast-paced, time-sensitive organization.
* Able to work in an office normal business hours Monday through Friday.
* Preferred:
+ BS/BA in Computer Science or Information Technology (or equivalent) Experience with Azure / AWS.
+ Strong hands-on Linux experience.
