Title: Technology Specialist - Business Analyst

Scope of the role

This role is part of the Global Digital & Technology department of HEINEKEN International. D&T is proud to bring cutting-edge innovation, strong technology, and advanced analytics to HEINEKEN. With speed and agility, we ensure HEINEKEN has the technological competitive advantages it needs to deliver on its ambition.

The Business Analyst is part of the Digital Enablement Platform Product team (DE) and is one of the professionals who do the work of delivering a potentially releasable increment of the product at the end of each sprint. The DE product team currently owns the low-code platform OutSystems. The Business Analyst owns the Feature - Outsystems platform and as such supports the PO to maximize the value delivered via and on the platform.

Product Teams are structured and empowered by the organization to organize and manage their own work. The resulting synergy optimizes the Product Team's overall efficiency and effectiveness.

Key responsibilities Business Analyst:

Analysis & Requirements Gathering

* Understand the business strategy elements in order to analyze and communicate the financial and operational impact of any changes. Supports Product Owner to define and own the value definition of user stories.
* Works with the Product Owner to understand, elicit, analyze, document, and communicate program and platform/application requirements. Facilitate requirements discussions with key stakeholders. Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, and task & workflow analysis. Elicit functional and non-functional (performance, availability, security, accessibility, cross-browser compliance) requirements using a methodology most appropriate for the context.
* Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal stakeholders to analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver the following artifacts as needed: product backlogs, user stories, detailed business requirements documents, and use cases. The Business Analyst owns a Feature (Outsystems platform) and as such Supports the Product Owner with facilitating the gathering, definition, and prioritization of requirements with key stakeholders. Supporting the Product Owner to break down, decompose and describe business needs into Stories. Works ahead of the team to elicit requirements for the next Sprint's Stories. Contributes to the product vision and feature backlog. Establishes story acceptance criteria and accepts sprint increments. Drives sprint goals and sprint content via prioritized stories.
* Clarify and improve the business processes impacted by the technology changes that are part of the Digital Enablement Product.
* Preferable subject matter expertise or development expertise on the Outsystems platform.

Product Delivery:
* Keep up with relevant developments in own functional area and ensure development, transfer, and retention of knowledge. Is together with team members end-to-end responsible to deliver the value of Digital Enablement Product through the entire Product lifecycle.
* Together with the team, deliver working product enhancements with the allocated timescale and quality standards that minimize rework and aspire a zero-defect & zero technical debt culture. Supports the Product Owner to engage stakeholders to ensure the Product Team is receiving necessary inputs.
* Is self-organizing with other team members. There is no separate management layer, work is planned and executed by the team.
* Is multidisciplinary - ensuring that the key competencies and expertise needed to develop, build, deploy and support the Digital Enablement Product are embedded in the team.
* Is able to reduce the complexity of the work that has to be done and have MVP thinking.
* Ensures consistency of the overall solution.
* Participates in the selection of new technologies.
* Provides guidance and coaching to other product team members on changes throughout the design process.
* Manages the quality of the solution and technical debt. Is responsible for ensuring the overall HEINEKEN standards and best practices are adhered by (i.e. Quality, Compliance). Identifies potential bottlenecks and their underlying causes that affect the product and proposes how to resolve these.
* Maintains awareness of emerging technologies, industry trends, and solution best practices; and evaluates them for applicability.

Solution Design & Integrity Management
* Ensure global governance around the development, usage, and exploitation of the Digital Enablement Product (Outsystems).
* Give input into solution designs by means of functional requirements across process, data, and technology that meet business requirements and adhere to relevant standards and principles, leverage common tools and processes, and meet cost/delivery objectives.
* Actively participate in discussions on solution options and business partner decision-making.
* Through exploration and creativity, develop and propose new technology or rationalization opportunities and bring these forth in discussions with architects, engineers, other business analysts, and the business.
* Perform reviews with key stakeholders throughout the design lifecycle to ensure alignment on solution designs and requirements. This may include but is not limited to the following activities: provide support to the design team, testing execution, deployment verifications, customer satisfaction reviews, etc.
* Act as a Single Point of Contact for Federated teams around the Globe to guide, mentor, and coach them in the end-2-end delivery on the Outsystems platform.
* Act as an ambassador for the Outsystems platform internally and externally and as the primary contact for queries related to the platform.

Business Partnership:
* Support the Product Owner to work with the business stakeholders to identify and confirm connections between business goals and strategies and the process data, and technology investments required to achieve them.
* Support the Product Owner to engage with and influence stakeholders on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans.
* Create and maintain strong working relationships with the Digital Enablement Development team, within the D&T Toolkit portfolio, Functional Teams (SAP, HeiLite, JDA), Global Functions (Procurement, Finance, HR), vendors, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Bachelor and/or Master's degree
* Economy; Business Administration, Busines Process Management or
* Computer Science, Telecom, Electronics and/or equivalent recognized work experience; Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence; Technology

Skills and experience:
* Excellent communication skills (both verbal and in writing): ability to communicate well with technical and non-technical people.
* Being a technical consultant who is responsible for the technical solution of the product.
* Analytically and quantitatively strong, highly structured.
* Recognizing the corporate strategy.
* Is a team player and is able to work effectively at all levels of the product teams with the ability to influence others to move toward consensus.
* Be able to identify and understand multiple stakeholder perspectives and "truths" and bring an open mind to understanding and build on the views of others.
* Ability to work in teams and work dedicated to a team.
* Being able to make decisions about which technologies are needed to develop the solution having in mind the product/s vision.
* The ability to visualize and create high-level models (rigorous information-rich diagrams) that can be used in future analysis to extend and mature the business architecture.
* The expertise and ability to integrate complex elements and customer requirements into innovative and scalable technical design.
* Demonstrated knowledge of identity, authentication, security, privacy, and compliance, and how they factor into cloud and hybrid solutions integrated with ERP systems.
* Enterprise-scale experience with cloud and hybrid infrastructures, architecture designs, migrations, and technology management is a plus.
* Designing and delivering Proof of Value (POV) within the stipulated time.
* A strong technical background and a strong understanding of technical specifics.
* 2+years of experience working with Outsystems.
* Experience working in DevOps environment.
* Awareness of test management and deployments of rapid application development technologies, so these can be automated (CICD pipelines);
* Experience with connecting/integrating with backend ERP(SAP; JDE; MS Dynamics) systems from rapid application development platforms perspective is a plus.
* Working in a federated enterprise organization is a plus.
* Open to learn new processes and technologies.
* Passion for new technologies.
