Armstrong World Industries (AWI) is hiring a Multifaceted Mechanical Engineer to work with our Healthy Spaces Team in Lancaster, PA.

As our Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for leading and executing projects relating to the Healthy Spaces portfolio of products. You will work closely with various teams across the organization, including AWI's manufacturing, innovation, new product development, and plant and operations staff, along with outside suppliers.

What you'll be doing:
* Leading and executing major projects per agreed cost, schedule, and performance
* Developing and executing test plans
* Identifying, researching and developing concepts
* Investigating problems with process and equipment and recommending corrective action
* Applying sound mechanical principles to all work performed
* Actively participating as a member of multifunctional project teams executing a variety of projects from concept to asset installation and start-up
* Participating in Lean events to drive rapid process improvement

What will make you successful:
* Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
* 3+ years engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
* Hands on test experience
* Ability to lead projects and teams
* Proven ability to communicate and integrate well across organizational functions/units
* Demonstrated presentation skills

Preferred qualifications:
* Experience in air purifying or filtration technologies
