Sierra Leone Brewery Limited is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Marketing Services Manager to join the Marketing team.

Role and responsibilities

CMI and Data Analyst
* Collaborate with the sales teams of each region/area to gather primary market data and information on competitors' movements
* Support qualitative and quantitative market research projects (study design, questionnaire development, fieldwork quality-check and analysis)
* Support the process of data analysis and provide data-driven arguments to innovate and simplify the process
* Set-up a project plan and its execution on time and budget
* Liaise with the research agency and oversee the process of focus groups, workshops and surveys.

* Oversee data collecting, data processing, quality control, troubleshooting issues and finding solutions.
* Develop presentations, creating charts, graphs, analysis - and review quality control of survey questionnaire.
* Conduct analysis, provide consultancy to our business areas, create data products and work to provide insight and foresight from data to improve operations and gain competitive advantage.
o Identify opportunities through business insights.
o Build and manage actionable dashboards using business performance metrics
o Playback complex data questions, analysis and insight gained in an accessible, easily comprehensible way to a business community. This will include the use of visualisation tools and techniques.

* Drive breakthrough reaction, including business performance, by delivering reach through effectiveness first touchpoint planning and resonance through meaningful, 'fit for platform' brand content TTL.
* Work with CMI and Media to identify volume and aspirational targets and the related media targets
* Develop clear campaign objectives aligned to business and brand objectives, and monitor and measure against them, optimising during the campaign where possible
* Select, appoint, inspire and effectively manage agency partners effectively to create winning strategies and plans (incl. briefing, challenging, rewarding & productive feedback)
* Assess the strength of media proposals to effectively deliver the campaign objectives, engage consumer in the content and maximise the 'reaction'
* Lead the creation of an iDDM campaign working cross-functionally across all relevant functions in the business, and proactively manages brand collection and use of data

* Measure the impact on the brand of the Marketing Mix and ensure future plans are 'effective first' and learnings are integrated
* Develop content and activities that deliver Brand Objectives and are aligned to Brand in a bottle
* Select and appoint agency partners effectively together with Procurement
* Inspire agencies to create brand and business building communication and activities that deliver against objectives and resonate with consumers
* Effectively and proactively manage agencies (briefing, challenging, feedback, reward)
* Assess ideas and executions based on their ability to work across selected touchpoints, resonate with target and deliver
* Work in collaboration with CMI and Media teams to pre-evaluate effectiveness of communications prior to production
* Manage all client side elements of the production process end to end
* Effectively inspire internal and external audiences around campaigns including clear articulation of the competitive advantages (brand or product) it delivers
* Driving iDDM agenda and thinking into the heart of media planning and execution
* Effectively work with the AMEE media hub and the Cluster Lead to deliver against thresholds

* Evaluate & prioritise innovation and renovation opportunities based on business needs, and ability to drive penetration and growth. Actively manage innovation pipeline.
* Use 'Sources of Growth', taste landscape and consumer trends to spot opportunities
* Identify strong Consumer Insights, developing these into value creating ideas and winning concepts with clear competitive advantages
* Lead the innovation / renovation process from idea generation to successful implementation
* Lead cross-functional projects through the funnel, ensuring effective decision making at each gate and securing cross-functional organisational alignment behind priorities and plans
* Develop & quantify business case
* Identify optimal approach to launch and secure organisational commitment behind plans
* Set clear launch objectives and KPIs and measure performance against them, adjusting course where necessary

* Identify the strategic relevance & implications of key consumer insights & data
* Turn data and consumer intelligence into actionable consumer insights
* Translate business objectives into brand objectives, recognising brand barriers and consumer behavioural changes needed
* Translate the output of BGS and external consumer intelligence into concrete Marketing actions and KPIs
* Use data and insight to effectively create distinct volume and aspirational targets for brands, leveraging consumer attitudes and values
* Use data and insight to create effective audience segments (using MAP)
* Use the Consumer Insight Framework to create consumer-centric marketing initiatives Use Consumer Insights to engage and inspire stakeholders internally and externally
* Translate shopper insights into action leveraging shopper missions and path to purchase

* A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Journalism, Marketing, Social Sciences, Psychology or Sociology would be an advantage
* 0 - 2 years of work experience in marketing, communication, consulting, market research is preferred but not required
* Native with excellent verbal and written English
* Flexible mind-set to apply both qualitative and quantitative methods of enquiry
* Possesses an interest in online communities, social media or other forms of digital engagement
* Strong project and program management skills with the ability to drive new initiatives
* Has a 'can-do' spirit with a strong sense of ownership to execute end-to-end projects
* Strong organization and communication skills to discern and address the needs of the organization
* Use a consumer-centric approach to solve problems
* Thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, multi-cultural environment

* An in depth understanding of all media platforms and buying thereof
* Knowledge of agency planning tools as well as dashboard understanding (analytical skills)
* Strong passion for digital and understanding of digital media technology (Demand Side Platforms, Data Management Platforms, Verification Software, Reporting Dashboards)
* Strong communication, analytics and presentation skills
* Ability to simply complex messages to be delivered in a simple and actionable way
* An integrated marketing mindset and understanding of FMCG brands and consumers / customers
* Strategic thinker (prior media strategy experience)
* Desire to drive an innovation agenda in advertising media
* Good mediator and negotiator
* Ability to lead, influence and work across a diverse group of agency and brand team
