Compliance Officer - Capital Markets Compliance (f/m/x)

RCB Compliance, an organizational unit within our Group Compliance division, is responsible for the management of investor protection and market conduct rules (esp. MiFID2, WAG 2018) and the prevention and detection of market abuse (esp. MAR, BörseG 2018) in RBI's subsidiary RCB.
To strengthen our dynamic and passionate team, we are currently looking for a motivated and results driven new colleague (f/m/x) who fits our team:
What you can expect:
* Analyzing regulatory requirements on investor protection and market conduct and developing smart implementation approaches to ensure regulatory compliance.
* Monitoring compliance with investor protection and market conduct rules and performing market abuse prevention controls in RBI Compliance systems (e.g. market abuse alert handling)
* Ensuring that potentially unusual or suspicious transactions are appropriately identified, documented, and STORs are filed in accordance with bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
* Managing complex cases involving matters such as multiple relationship accounts (related parties), tiered and multi-faceted transactions and international transactions.
* Contributing to continuous further improvement of the market abuse surveillance approach (including the system as well as the process) to be able to identify suspicious behavior and increase the efficiency of the approach.
* Supporting the development of compliance trainings programs and conducting trainings
* Participating in group-wide projects and initiatives and conducting onsite visits to assess local implementation of group-wide standards, policies and processes
* Willingness to travel in Austria and abroad (esp. subsidiaries and branch offices in CEE/SEE)
* Cooperating with regulatory and law enforcement authorities (e.g. preparation of suspicious transaction and order reports, handling information requests)
What you bring to the table:
* University degree/advanced studies in law, economics or comparable subject
* Minimum 3 years of experience in a compliance department of a financial institution or with a financial market regulator with a focus on market abuse prevention, investor protection or market conduct
* In-depth understanding of financial markets, characteristics of financial instruments and trading processes
* Analytical, data-driven (problem solving) and IT related skills with good objectivity and discretion
* Drive for and experience in Innovation and Process Management skills
* Must be able to prioritize work and effectively manage time.
* Project management skills (ideally also with agile projects/scrum)
* Team player, flexible and problem-solving personality, ability to work under pressure
* Excellent English and German skills, knowledge of CEE/SEE-languages of advantage
* Proficiency in MS applications (Excel, Power Point, Word)
