Role and Responsibilities
The Senior Program/Operations Manager is responsible for identifying and developing content and strategy for multiple B2B conferences in conjunction with event partners, the leading industry association, consultants, industry experts and internal stakeholders. The individual will provide expertise and management of daily operations and production schedules.
* Manage and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive desired content results
* Work with internal/external Marketing Departments and liaise with PR firms, and speaker's bureaus to secure high profile candidates to deliver the keynote addresses
* Manage content production and delivery across all channels (website, email, newsletter, social media, on-site events) to ensure consistency, quality, and effectiveness
* Implement content marketing best practices, integrate content calendars, and support integrated marketing campaigns for third-party organizations
* Drive creative, out of the box ideas that speak directly to targeted audiences
* Work closely with internal and external stakeholders (Sales, Marketing, Operations) to leverage subject matter experts to build a diverse content program and partnerships
* Lead content copy editing and proofing functions for digital and printed material
* Manage external and internal stakeholders (a2z, registration) that the external information is accurate for public consumption
* Responsible for recommending and driving the creation of new bonus content that is relevant and engaging
* Work closely with external partners to execute a successful education program
* Share content ideas with the marketing team to use in specific marketing campaigns, blogs, and social media to maximize opportunities for attendees
* Create and manage conference budget and expenses effectively
* High initiative to create and drive plans for new revenue sources
* Manage all meeting planning activities associated with educational/conference programs; to include but not limited to: AV RFP development, AV Vendor selection and contracting, Meeting Room Sets, Event Specifications as they pertain to the conference, overall conference F&B specifications, Authorization of BEO's
* Proven track record with virtual and hybrid events as it relates to content
* Process and track vendor payments as it relates to educational/conference programs
* Administrative responsibilities and post-show summaries
* Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Education Requirements
* Bachelor's Degree or higher
* 8+ Years Educational Development, Conference Management, Marketing, and/or Tradeshow Management
* Proven conference operational experience & skills including production schedules, budget management, and conference staffing
* Project management experience on detailed programs with multiple variables and dependencies
* Proven experience in managing agency and vendor partners
* Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills especially with senior-level professionals and with association partners
* Creative, innovative, and strategic thinker with stringent attention to detail
* Strong financial management skills
* Motivated team player with a desire to learn and grow
* Strong oral and written communication skills
* Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills
* Practical problem solving, time management, and organization skills
* Demonstrate the ability to adapt, implement, and manage change and strive for continuous improvement
* Ability to thrive in high-pressure situations
