About the Opportunity

Avaya is seeking an HR Projects Manager to support our HR organization. The ideal candidate is highly detail oriented, motivated self-starter, organized with excellent communication skills and who has a passion of excellence, integrity, innovation and success. Will contribute to both hands-on and strategic level initiatives to meet our People First Strategy. Will work in a collaborative cross functional project management role that connects project teams, support the operations and administration of the Global Employee Service Center for The Americas, in addition, provide support with mergers and acquisitions.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

Connector and creative problem solver. Being skilled at developing and maintaining relationships with key business and functional leaders across Avaya, Human Resources Centers of Excellence, with an ability to make appropriate connections and solve problems creatively while keeping in mind our Cultural Principles.

Ability to work in an unstructured, fast-moving and rapidly changing environment, quickly make sense of it and add value. Continually focus new strategies as they emerge and as Avaya continues to evolve, balancing speed with time to absorb the changes.

Provide support throughout the employee lifecycle for the Americas (i.e., background onboarding, I-9 auditing, offboarding, escalated payroll inquiries.) manage any escalations that come in from the region, while managing inquiries. Identify opportunities to improve current processes.

Additional Qualifications

Proven success in managing complex operations end-to-end; including: strong planning and project management skills, identification and prioritization of issues, tested readiness and implementation, follow-through with great attention to detail, and further evolving to identify opportunities to improve in service to the operation or project being delivered

Proven ability to quickly and comfortably establish relationships and build sustainable partnerships with inter-team and cross-functional colleagues, leaders and teams to collaboratively solve problems

Provide project management from design through implementation including identifying, tracking, monitoring and communicating issues, scope changes, variances contingencies and understand technical terms while ensuring progress is maintained and the project is delivered on time and budget Develop, maintain, review and disseminate project documentation including status reports, change orders, project schedules, functional design specifications, test plans, training plans and process documentation

Develop approach for project quality assurance (e.g. Document control, project change control, unit, integration and business process testing, etc.) is defined and implemented

additional responsibilities

Recommend system enhancements for HR systems; participate in required implementations or upgrades.

Ability to create training guides, job aids or presentations and facilitate such training materials to ensure readiness for change management for new processes and/or application launches

Ability to run and analyze reports (i.e., headcount reports)

Strong communications and cross-cultural skills, as well as an ability to effectively interact with all levels

The ideal candidate will have experience with SuccessFactors and/or other SAP systems

Participate in HR functional work teams as needed

Performs other related duties as assigned
