The Payroll Consultant is responsible for the processing of national Payroll services for SAP Austria.
As part of the Shared Service Organization (SSO) the Payroll Consultant performs Austrian Payroll Processes, performs quality controls and executes more complex processes.
The Payroll Consultant is the main contact point for non standard payroll processes and acts as an advisor for payroll related topics for SAP Austria, BSCE and external authorities.

• Single Payroll point of contact for Payroll related inquiries
• Coach and develop colleagues of the Shared Service Center Prague to be able to resolve standard Payroll issues
• Review and approval of monthly payroll run (~400 employees and apprentices)
• Creation of various legal statements for employees
• Manage special leaves (e.g. maternity, illness, education, sabbatical)
• Judge and process income-tax-related travel expenses
• Control employer expenses and payments
• Assure legal compliance of Payroll to legal law for tax and SI matters
• Manage Non-cash benefits (equity plans, benefits in kind, company car's) and special task (e.g. Loans, garnishments)
• Liaise with third parties (e.g. legal, IT, external providers and local authorities) to ensure processes are valid and reflect legal requirements
• Simplification of existing processes
• Manage projects affecting Payroll (e.g. roll out of new policies, implementation of new wage types, adjustment of legal reports)
• Calculation of certain monthly payroll accruals (e.g. sabbatical leave)
• Manage notifications via Elda Online for leave payments
• Perform registration/de-registration of new hires and leavers per ELDA
• Prepare and submit documents for month-end and year-end Financial Closings
• Prepare and submit monthly/yearly statutory (e.g. L16) reporting
• Work closely with internal departments (IT, Total Rewards, Equity, shared service centers)
• Ad-hoc reporting using SAP
• Process post mail
• Process documentation
• Follow guidelines and policies in managing confidential data

• Perennial working experience in Payroll Accounting for Austria
• Knowledge of  legal legislations, tax rules, social insurance requirements
• SAP HR payroll system
• Basic knowledge in Financial Accounting
